Lincoln Hospital, a 25-bed critical access hospital and proud member of MaineHealth, is seeking a full time Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) to join our experienced and collaborative team in the Walk-In Clinic. This role offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment where APPs care for patients of all ages with acute minor medical issues and injuries. You will work as part of a patient-centered team alongside our primary care and emergency medicine teams to deliver affordable, efficient care for life’s “minor emergencies.” Our facility is open seven days a week, including evening hours, to ensure convenient access for our community. Full time APPs in the Walk-In Clinic work 1500 hours annually.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide urgent care services for walk-in patients of all ages with acute, non-life-threatening conditions.
  • Collaborate with primary care and emergency medicine teams to ensure seamless, high-quality care.
  • Utilize onsite lab and radiograph services to support patient diagnoses and treatments.
  • Perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, radiograph interpretation, and splinting.
  • Maintain strong communication and customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • Education/Training: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Two years’ experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Eligible to obtain APRN or PA license in the State of Maine.
  • DEA certification.
  • ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Skills in suturing, wound care, radiograph interpretation, and splinting are highly preferred.
