Steele Memorial Medical Center in Salmon, Idaho, seeks a compassionate Physician Assistant for a fast-paced walk-in clinic. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses, order tests, prescribe medications, and educate patients in a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate has PA-C certification, Idaho licensure or eligibility, and BLS; urgent care or primary care experience is preferred. This full-time role offers competitive salary and benefits with CME support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current PA-C certification.
• Active Idaho licensure or eligible for licensure.
• DEA registration or ability to obtain.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience in urgent care, walk-in clinic, family medicine, emergency medicine, or primary care.
• Strong clinical decision-making and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries.
• Perform patient assessments, physical exams, and medical histories.
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans.
• Provide patient education and preventive health guidance.
• Perform minor office procedures, including wound care, splinting, and suturing.
• Document encounters accurately within the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to provide excellent care.
