Position Description

Penn Medicine is dedicated to our tripartite mission of providing high-quality patient care, conducting innovative research, and educating future medical leaders. Working at this leading academic medical center involves collaboration with top professionals across disciplines.

We are seeking a part-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join Penn Medicine LG Health Urgent Care. This role offers a good work/life balance within a team-oriented environment focused on excellent patient care. The provider will be expected to float within the region based on team needs. After one year, the provider will be cross-trained to provide care via virtual platforms, with shifts varying based on patient volume and needs.

Hours: 0.6 FTE, 24 hours/week, with predictable weekend and holiday rotations.

Minimum Requirements
For Physician Assistant:
  • Current licensure as a Physician Assistant by PA Board of Medicine
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant training program
  • In good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance programs
  • Minimum one-year experience preferred
For Nurse Practitioner:
  • Certification by ANCC or similar agency
  • Valid Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner license and Certificate of Prescriptive Authority in Pennsylvania
  • Valid Pennsylvania RN licensure
  • Credentialed by the medical staff according to policy
