Job summary

Reno Orthopedic Center (ROC) is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to join our Pain Management team in Reno. The role primarily involves seeing patients in our downtown clinic, with occasional travel to the Carson City clinic.

Onboarding will emphasize clinic workflows, with potential involvement in pain management procedures. A Nevada license without restrictions is required; two years in orthopedics is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Nevada professional license with no license restrictions (PA-C or APRN).
• Two years of experience working as a PA/NP in an orthopedic hospital/clinic setting preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work primarily at the Main Reno downtown location, with some travel to the Carson City clinic (~4 days per month).
• Primarily clinic-based; may assist in pain management procedures after onboarding.
• Schedule can be 4 or 5 days per week, full-time, aiming for ~20 patients per day.
• Collaborate with Pain Management physician and other clinicians in a group setting.

Join us as an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) on our Pain Management team at Reno Orthopedic Center! You would work under our Pain Management physician, a newly established specialty service offered at ROC to help patients get back to what they love doing. Love seeing patients in clinic? A little more info about what you would do:

• You would work primarily at our Main Reno downtown location, with some travel to our Carson City clinic (around 4 days per month).
• You would work primarily in clinic. Assisting in some pain management procedures may come after being fully onboarded - seeing patients in clinic is the priority.
• The schedule can be either 4 or 5 days per week, full time, building to an estimated 20 patients per day.
• Experience practicing as an Advanced Practice Provider (especially in a related specialty area or setting) is helpful but not required - we are always willing to teach!

Active Nevada professional license with no license restrictions (PA-C or APRN*).

*Nurse Practitioners must be certified to see patients of all ages (FNP).

• Two years of experience working as a PA/NP in an orthopedic hospital/clinic setting.

Travel: This position may require travel based on clinic needs.
