Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

As a Physician Assistant, you will be subject to the medical protocols established by the Association and the Chief Medical Officer of Concentra, in cooperation with other physicians assigned to a clinic or "Center". The Physician Assistant shall provide primary medical direction and coordination of professional medical care within the occupational health program.
Responsibilities
- Examine patients, compile patient medical data, and results of examinations.
- Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests.
- Compile patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examinations.
- Interpret diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
- Perform therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care, and managing infection.
- Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
- Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist in the provision of continuity of care.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and revision of policies affecting medical practice judgment and quality of occupational health care.
- Assist in the development and presentation of educational and instructional programs.
- Provide excellent customer service to all patients, clients, and peers while embodying Orange Book values.
- Strive to exceed customer and patient expectations as measured by NPER / NPS / TATs.
- Ensure accuracy when completing and executing tasks and performing quality assurance checks.
- Maintain accurate, concise, timely, and complete documentation of results and paperwork.
- Provide a compassionate and warm patient experience regardless of patient volume.
- Manage time effectively, prioritize, and multi-task in a busy environment.
- Adapt to changing business needs, including scheduling and working additional or different hours/shifts when appropriate.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related health field from an accredited college or university.
- Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program).
- Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE).
- Current licensed physician assistant in the state of employment, in accordance with state laws.
- Maintain state licensure throughout employment.
Job-Related Experience
- At least one year of demonstrated experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or an emergency setting.
