Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

As a Physician Assistant, you will be subject to the medical protocols established by the Association and the Chief Medical Officer of Concentra, in cooperation with other physicians assigned to a clinic or "Center". The Physician Assistant shall provide primary medical direction and coordination of professional medical care within the occupational health program.

Responsibilities
  1. Examine patients, compile patient medical data, and results of examinations.
  2. Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests.
  3. Compile patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examinations.
  4. Interpret diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
  5. Perform therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care, and managing infection.
  6. Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
  7. Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist in the provision of continuity of care.
  8. Assist in the development, implementation, and revision of policies affecting medical practice judgment and quality of occupational health care.
  9. Assist in the development and presentation of educational and instructional programs.
  10. Provide excellent customer service to all patients, clients, and peers while embodying Orange Book values.
  11. Strive to exceed customer and patient expectations as measured by NPER / NPS / TATs.
  12. Ensure accuracy when completing and executing tasks and performing quality assurance checks.
  13. Maintain accurate, concise, timely, and complete documentation of results and paperwork.
  14. Provide a compassionate and warm patient experience regardless of patient volume.
  15. Manage time effectively, prioritize, and multi-task in a busy environment.
  16. Adapt to changing business needs, including scheduling and working additional or different hours/shifts when appropriate.
  17. Consistently deliver quality care in a busy clinical setting.
  18. Assist in other areas as needed to ensure an excellent patient experience.
  19. Seek opportunities for additional clinical training and self-development to provide quality care.
  20. Communicate effectively with patients, clients, supervisors, and peers, incorporating Orange Book values.
  21. Listen to and understand client needs to act and address appropriately.
  22. Commit to personal excellence and understand how daily work contributes to overall center operation.
  23. Hold self and others accountable, and assist others to achieve results.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related health field from an accredited college or university.
  • Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program).
  • Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE).
  • Current licensed physician assistant in the state of employment, in accordance with state laws.
  • Maintain state licensure throughout employment.
Job-Related Experience
  • At least one year of demonstrated experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or an emergency setting.
