Qualifications

• Active Colorado Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
• Board certification: PA NCCPA; NP ANCC or AANP; FNP required.
• Active DEA license or ability to obtain.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays.
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain; fees covered.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in an urgent care setting.
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies including labs and imaging.
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management.
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions clearly.
• Document patient care accurately in the EHR and code/bill services.
• Maintain productivity in line with urgent care benchmarks.
• Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values.

Job description

Location: Golden, Colorado
Status: Full-Time
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week; standard clinic hours are 8:00 AM-8:00 PM, seven days a week
Compensation: $60-80/hour (based on experience) + bonus

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Colorado Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
• Board certification:
  • PA: NCCPA certification
  • NP: ANCC or AANP certification; FNP required
• Active DEA license or ability to obtain
• Ability to treat patients of all ages
• Active BLS certification
• EHR proficiency
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain; fees covered

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
• Strong procedural skills, including suturing, splinting, and wound care
• Experience with initial x-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read
• Comfortable practicing independently in an urgent care setting
