Position Details:

• Join Hartford Hospital’s Emergency General Surgery team, practicing at your full scope and caring for critically ill surgical patients
• APPs are main clinical drivers, working with advanced Acute Care Surgeons
• Hybrid inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, with occasional OR opportunities in the future
• Involvement from ER to OR, surgical floors, critical care, and outpatient settings

Role: Open to Physician Assistants and Acute Care Nurse Practitioners

Location: 79 Jefferson Street, Hartford, 06102

Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient

Schedule: Full-time, 3x13 hour shifts, Monday-Friday 6am-7:30pm, no nights, premium differentials offered

Call Schedule: Home call with one weekend per month answering service

Role Scope:

• Perform physical exams, develop treatment and psychosocial plans within established guidelines
• Coordinate further evaluation and referrals as needed
