NextCare Urgent Care in the Dallas–Mesquite area is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Mesquite clinic. This role offers clinical autonomy, a balanced schedule, and meaningful community impact in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

You will work three 12-hour shifts per week, with clinic hours 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM seven days a week, supported by experienced clinical teams and clear practice guidelines.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Texas Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
• Current national board certification: Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP, Family Nurse Practitioner).
• Active DEA license or ability to obtain.
• Ability to work three 12-hour shifts per week, including rotating weekends and holidays.
• Active BLS certification.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR).
• DOT certification or willingness to obtain (certification fees covered).

• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including laboratory testing and imaging.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced urgent care environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
• Strong procedural skills, including suturing, splinting, and wound care
• Experience managing a broad range of acute illnesses and injuries
• Experience with initial X-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read
• Confidence managing patient flow while maintaining high-quality care
