Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current Wisconsin PA or NP license, or ability to obtain.
• Cardiology, internal medicine, hospital medicine, emergency medicine, critical care, or related clinical experience. 3 years of experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, clinical assessment, medication management, and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions in the clinic setting.
• Collaborate with physicians on diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, medication management, and follow-up care.
• Review and interpret relevant clinical data, including laboratory results, electrocardiograms, cardiac imaging, and other cardiovascular studies within scope of practice.
• Provide patient education on cardiovascular risk reduction, medications, lifestyle changes, and symptom monitoring.
• Coordinate care with primary care, nursing, cardiac rehabilitation, diagnostic services, and hospital teams while maintaining accurate and timely medical records.

Cardiology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Position Overview: As a Cardiology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner at Vernon Health, you will provide comprehensive cardiovascular care, including patient evaluation, diagnosis support, treatment planning, medication management, follow-up care, and patient education.
