Job summary

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Colorado NP or PA license.
• FNP board certification through ANCC or AANP (for NPs).
• NCCPA certification for PAs and active DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in urgent care setting.
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies including labs and imaging.
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, splinting, wound care.
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions clearly.
• Document patient care accurately in the EHR.
• Code and bill services per guidelines and maintain productivity.
• Follow NextCare clinical standards and values in practice.

Location: Arvada, Colorado

Status: Full-Time

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week; standard clinic hours are 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, seven days a week

Compensation: $60-$80/hour (based on experience) + productivity bonus

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team in Arvada, Colorado. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting

• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound management
• Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
• Code and bill services appropriately
• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
• Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Colorado NP or PA license
• Board certification:
  • Nurse Practitioner: FNP certification through ANCC or AANP
  • Physician Assistant: NCCPA certification
• Active DEA license or ability to obtain
• Colorado prescriptive authority as applicable
• Ability to treat patients of all ages
• Active BLS certification
• EHR proficiency
• Willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays
• DOT certification or willingness to obtain (fees covered)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
• Strong procedural skills, including suturing, splinting, and wound care
• Experience with initial X-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read
• Confidence practicing independently in a high-volume urgent care setting
