Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Texas NP or PA license.
• PA must have NCCPA certification.
• NP must hold ANCC or AANP certification; FNP required.
• Active DEA license or ability to obtain.
• Ability to treat patients of all ages.
• Active BLS certification.
• EHR proficiency.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
• DOT certification required or willing to obtain; fees covered.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in urgent care.
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging.
• Perform urgent care procedures (suturing, wound care).
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Document care accurately in the EHR.
• Code and bill services.
• Maintain productivity aligned with urgent care benchmarks.
• Adhere to NextCare clinical standards and values.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Arlington, Texas. This role is ideal for clinicians who value variety, autonomy, and meaningful community impact while practicing in a fast-paced, well-supported urgent care environment.

The work is engaging and varied, with a broad patient population and generally low-acuity presentations that keep skills sharp without the pressure of inpatient follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
• Strong procedural skills, including suturing, splinting, and wound care
• Experience with initial x-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read
