OrthoVirginia is hiring a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for Ortho On-Call urgent care clinics in Lynchburg, VA. The successful candidate will join a team of board-certified physicians and sports medicine specialists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered orthopedic care.

The position requires PA or NP licensure in Virginia, 2+ years orthopedic or urgent care experience, DEA license, and a dedication to patient safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in orthopedic care or urgent care settings is preferred.
• Current board certification/eligibility for PA or NP.
• Active/state medical license and DEA license.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations and ages.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients across ages for urgent care needs.
• Open 361 days a year with weekend and early evening shifts.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed.
• Perform fracture/dislocation management and joint injections.
• Instruct patients and families on diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians to assess patient condition and treatment plan.
• Maintain accurate medical charts and administrative paperwork.

Ortho On-Call is a growing Urgent Care and we are currently hiring a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. This position will join our exceptional team of physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and sports medicine physicians and will ensure our teams continue to deliver quality care in a patient-focused setting. Ortho On-Call's walk-in urgent care clinics are designed specifically to treat acute orthopedic-related injuries and conditions and are supported by the board-certified physicians and full-service therapies of OrthoVirginia. The successful candidate will be a qualified and compassionate provider with a licensure to see all age ranges. Primary Functions & Accountabilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages for immediate health care needs, as well as provide employer services.
• Urgent care responsibilities. As we are open 361 days a year, weekend and early evening shifts will be required.
• Ordering and interpreting appropriate diagnostic tests
• Fracture/Dislocation reductions/management, laceration repair, joint injections
• Instructs patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plan and medications
• Consults with physicians when warranted to assess patient condition and treatment plan
• Ensures that medical charts and administrative paperwork are completed in a timely manner
• Performs within guidelines of specific privileges approved by the governing body and delegated by the Medical Director
• Provides support to medical and office staff

Position Requirements

• Board Certified/Eligible Prefer 2+ years of orthopedic experience or practice in Emergency/Urgent Care clinical/hospital setting
• Active/current state medical license and eligible for a VA Medical License
• DEA License
• Physical health to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position

Compensation Range for this position: $111,200.00 - $166,800.00

Compensation for this role will be based on several factors, including the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, education, skills, certifications, geography/market, and internal equity considerations.
