University of Maryland Faculty Physicians, Inc. seeks a Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive clinical and surgical care within the MIGS program under physician supervision.
You will evaluate patients, obtain histories, perform exams, order tests, and implement treatment plans. Responsibilities include pre/post-op care, inpatient rounds, assisting with laparoscopic/robotic gynecologic surgeries, and documentation in the EMR.
The Physician Assistant (PA) will provide comprehensive clinical and surgical care within the Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) program under the supervision of a licensed physician. The PA will evaluate patients, obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, develop initial assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and implement treatment plans. Responsibilities include managing pre- and post-operative patients, conducting inpatient rounds, assisting with laparoscopic and robotic gynecologic surgeries, performing clinical procedures within scope of practice, and providing patient education and counseling. The PA will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Additional responsibilities include documenting care in the electronic medical record, responding to patient inquiries, participating in quality improvement and research initiatives, and supporting educational activities for trainees and staff. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to advancing women's health through minimally invasive surgical care.

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position.Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
