Education
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or physician assistant program with a Master's degree required
Licenses and Credentials
Current Massachusetts state license as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required
Experience
Experience as a licensed Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Skilled in taking medical histories to assess medical condition and interpret findings.
- Ability to maintain quality control standards.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to communicate clearly and establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
Additional Job Details (if applicable)
1+ year of experience in Urgent Care or emergency department preferred
1+ year of clinical experience that includes the care of pediatric patients (3 years and older) preferred
Prior experience in procedures including suturing and splinting preferred
Prior experience in reading diagnostic studies, including x-rays and EKGs, preferred
Prior experience treating workers' compensation cases preferred
Prior experience treating occupational health cases preferred
