Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner – Interventional Radiology to join a growing IR team. You’ll practice at the top of your license, supporting interventional radiologists across inpatient, outpatient, and procedural settings with hands-on experience in image-guided, minimally invasive procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with advanced IR cases including fluoroscopy-guided procedures, embolization, dialysis access, and interventional oncology.
• Perform patient assessments, consults, follow-ups, and education.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.
• Document care and follow clinical protocols.

Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner – Interventional Radiology
Fredericksburg, VA | Mary Washington Healthcare

Join a growing Interventional Radiology team and practice at the top of your license in a dynamic, patient-centered environment. This role supports interventional radiologists across inpatient, outpatient, and procedural settings, offering hands-on experience with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. Our program is rapidly expanding, including the recent addition of neuro thrombectomy and a broader range of neuro interventions performed within IR.

What You’ll Do

• Provide procedural support (e.g., paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, drain placement, central line/PICC, vascular access)
• Assist with advanced IR cases including fluoroscopy-guided procedures, embolization, dialysis access, and interventional oncology
• Perform patient assessments, consults, follow-ups, and education
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care

Qualifications

• NP: Virginia license; MSN/DNP; ANCC (preferred) or AANP; BLS & ACLS
• PA: Virginia license; NCCPA certification; BLS & ACLS
• Experience in acute care, ICU, surgery, cardiology, or procedural settings preferred
• IR experience is a plus, but new grads or those with strong procedural interest are encouraged to apply

Compensation Range: $54.52 - $68.15
