Corewell Health in Royal Oak, MI, seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients under the medical director with independent, critical thinking and immediate action for stroke, rapid response, and transition of care. Rotating 12-hour shifts and variable weekends are required.
The ideal candidate has 1 year of internal medicine, emergency, or inpatient medicine experience and holds an active NP/PA license with BLS certification.
Under the general guidance of the medical director, the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with diseases and adverse health conditions following the written guidelines approved by the department. This position requires independent, critical thinking skills with immediate action, with stroke, PERT, rapid response and any urgent need coverage along with transition of care. Experienced critical care, emergency or internal medicine preferred. This position does require 12- hour rotating shift blocks with variable weekends and rotating holidays.
