Job summary

WellTech Partners in Soledad, CA is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to lead occupational medicine care at its clinic.

You will serve as the primary medical provider with an operations team and onsite physical therapy, delivering patient-centered care and maintaining clinical standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active, unrestricted California PA or NP license.
• Current NRCME certification as a DOT Medical Examiner, or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
• BLS certification preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to assess and treat workplace injuries and manage occupational medicine cases.
• Commitment to patient-centered care, accurate documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Electronic medical record experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat occupational medicine patients in person.
• Assess workplace injuries and determine appropriate treatment plans and levels of care.
• Complete accurate and timely medical documentation using the Prognosis EMR system.
• Collaborate with clinical leadership to maintain quality standards and consistent practices.
• Communicate with employer representatives regarding injuries and patient status.
• Maintain relationships with employer clients and insurance payers.
• Ensure compliance with California regulations, workers' compensation, and licensing standards.
• Coordinate care with medical assistants, front office staff, X-ray personnel, and onsite PT.
• Identify opportunities to improve patient care, workflows, and center operations.

WellTech Partners is partnering with an established occupational medicine organization to recruit a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for its Soledad, California clinic. • Identify opportunities to improve patient care, clinical workflows, and center operations.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $170,000–$228,000 annually.
• Retention Bonus: $15,000.
• Paid Time Off: 10 days of accrued PTO, 5 frontloaded sick days, and 6 paid holidays.
• CME Allowance: $1,500 annually, plus up to 3 days of CME time off.
• Malpractice Coverage: Medical malpractice insurance and tail coverage provided at no cost.
• License & Certification Renewals: Eligible for reimbursement.
• DOT Certification Support: Training course and exam fees covered. Eight hours of training time will be reimbursed on the first paycheck if completed before the start date.
• Provider Incentives: An incentive program is currently in development.
