Job summary

Excelsia Injury Care is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to examine, evaluate, and manage patients with podiatric concerns and complex wound cases. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Ideal candidates hold an MS degree with NP/PA certification and are licensed to practice in the region. Orthopedic and sports medicine experience is a plus, and the position is on-site in Logan, Utah.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree or higher with completion of a Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant Certification.
• Licensed and currently registered with the Idaho Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Orthopedic and Neuro experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients for health history and perform physical examination.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic and laboratory tests.
• Document H & P, progress notes, and treatment plans.
• Act as liaison between patients and physicians to coordinate care pre- and post-operatively.
• Caring for patients in a clinical setting.
• Participate in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

General Summary of Position
The NP or Physician’s Assistant role includes examination, evaluation, assessment and interpretation of clinical data to provide care for patients with podiatric concerns and complex wound management. Professional practice is in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team.A background in Orthopedic Medicine or Sports Medicine is ideal.

• Act as liaison between patients and physicians to coordinate recommended patient care as well as pre- and post-operative care
• Caring for patients in a clinical setting
• Participate in multi-disciplinary quality and service improvement meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Education/Training -Master of Science degree or higher, with completion of a Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant Certification
• License/Certification - Registered and currently recorded with the Idaho Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Orthopedic and Neuro experience is a plus

Physical/Mental Requirements

Sitting, standing, walking, reaching above shoulder length, working with body bent over at waist, working in kneeling position, crawling, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, working with arms extended at shoulder length, lifting max. of 20 lbs.
