University of Maryland Faculty Practice is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Downtown Campus hospitalist program, which includes over 40 hospitalists. You will collaborate closely with physicians, working 12-hour night shifts on a rotating schedule that includes nights and weekends. Our team manages general internal medicine, transplant patients, and medical consultations. Responsibilities include primary admitter, rounding, consulting, and discharging patients. Procedures are not mandatory, but ultrasound training for peripheral line placement and exams is being developed. We partner with the University of Maryland Physician Assistant Program to provide inpatient training and engage in quality improvement projects.
As part of our hospitalist team, you'll work in a supportive environment, coordinate patient care in a tertiary facility, educate future physician assistants, and participate in projects to enhance medical care delivery.
