Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking Physician Assistants to join our team as independent contractors serving U.S. military service members in Oregon, including the Springfield area.

Most work occurs on weekends with occasional weekday shifts, on an as-needed basis. Responsibilities include supporting physical health assessments, reviewing medical history and records, interviewing service members, identifying urgent concerns (including Behavioral Health), and documenting results in our secure system.

Qualifications

• Active PA license in the state.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health.
• Willingness to travel to remote military installations.
• Able to work extended hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
• Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
• Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify concerns needing immediate attention, including Behavioral Health.
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record using a proprietary system.
