Job Description

Purpose of Position:

A unique PYN-only position for a Physician Assistant to work collaboratively with, and assist, the Director of Minimally invasive GYN Surgery and Advanced Gynecologic Ultrasound. Is also an integral part of a gynecologic surgical team and directly assist the Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery. Passionate about teaching and providing patient-centered, high-quality, compassionate care.

Roles And Responsibilities

1. Works with the Director and another GYNA PA to evaluate and treat gynecologic patients during consultations, follow-ups, pre-operative and post-operative office visits. Training and evaluation will be provided in evaluation of patients with gynecologic conditions from fibrosis to endometriosis.
2. Will assist during surgery including being bed-side assistant for robotic procedures. Training will be provided.
3. Works closely with surgical coordinator to coordinate care for perioperative patients.
4. Primary assistant for patient follow up for labs, imaging, prescriptions, office messages, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current New York State registration as a Physician Assistant; and,
• Current certification issued by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA); and,
• Two years of full time, satisfactory clinical experiences as a Physician Assistant.
