Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc., part of Mass General Brigham, seeks an inpatient Physician Assistant for the Division of Infectious Disease: Transplant/Oncology. This weekday, onsite position is Per Diem with a competitive pay scale.

The PA will assess patients, order and interpret tests, develop care plans, prescribe medications, and document care. Requirements: Master's degree in Physician Assistant and state licensure; prior PA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant required.
• Physician Assistant license required.
• Experience as a licensed Physician Assistant preferred.
• Skilled in taking medical histories; ability to assess medical condition and interpret findings.
• Ability to maintain quality control standards.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, medical staff and the public.

• Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.

• Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to policies.
• Maintains high-quality documentation including admission, progress, and discharge notes.
• Performs bedside procedures as appropriate to the patient population.

• Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
• Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Consistently provides high quality and timely documentation including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes and discharge summaries.
• Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.
