Cardiac Care - Physician Assistant

Jersey Shore University Medical Center

Neptune, New Jersey

The Physician Assistant performs the role utilizing the patient-centered coordinated care model demonstrated through the following competencies: leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision making. Works collaboratively with other members of the practice/hospital team to assess, plan and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs. 24/7 Coverage model for Cardiac Care ICU at JSUMC.

The Physician Assistant assists, monitors, and manages the day-to-day needs of patients as requested by, in conjunction with, and under the supervision of a physician. Performs the duties and responsibilities of a Physician Assistant according to customary and generally accepted medical standards.

Position Details

  • 24/7 Flex Coverage for Cardiac Care Inpatient Unit
  • Flexible shifts (12-13 hrs or 8 hours)
  • Full Time (40 hrs/week)

Requirements:

  • New Jersey PA license
  • Successful completion of an approved physicians assistant program, accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education
  • Demonstrates effective communication and leadership skills including teaching principles, organizational and presentation skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.

COMPENSATION:

Starting Base Salary: $117,395.20 Annually
