Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Physician Assistant to deliver medical services to patients of all ages under the direction of a physician. The PA will collect patient data, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and order laboratory studies while providing professional consultations and direct patient care.

The role spans all specialty and primary care areas, diagnosing common illnesses and performing minor procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Science preferred or required by state regulations or contract.
• PA license/registration with state Medical Board.
• NCCPA certification preferred; may be required by state regulations or contract.
• Minimum one year of PA experience preferred.
• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS/PALS as per state or contract requirements.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray as applicable.
• Current health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services to patients under physician supervision.
• Collect and document patient data and conduct diagnostic/therapeutic procedures.
• Order and schedule laboratory studies and provide professional consultations.
• Diagnose illnesses and treat common conditions; perform minor procedures.
