Job summary

Saratoga Medical Center in Charleston, SC is hiring a Physician Assistant (PA) to provide high-quality healthcare services in South Carolina. The PA will conduct patient assessments, diagnose and treat illnesses, prescribe medications, and collaborate with physicians to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

• ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program completion.
• Licensed as a Physician Assistant in South Carolina.
• Approved prescriptive privileges with a permanent PA SC License.
• Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or ARC CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and diagnose illnesses.
• Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure patient care.
• Supervise professional and non-professional staff in patient treatment and care (where applicable).

Required Qualifications

Education

• Graduation from an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program (or its predecessor/successor organization).

Licensure

• Must be licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of South Carolina.
• Must have approved prescriptive privileges with a permanent PA SC License.

Certifications

• Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or an AHA-recognized equivalent) OR American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

The compensation package includes a competitive pay rate of$47-$88per hour, paid time off, medical benefits, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community.
