Job summary

Damien Center is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Clinic Team, delivering primary care in an outpatient setting within a multidisciplinary environment. The PA will manage wellness, acute conditions, and chronic disease, collaborating with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and social workers to provide comprehensive HIV care and gender-affirming services.

You will contribute to preventive care, PrEP/PEP, and care coordination while following clinic protocols and maintaining documentation

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree from an ARC-PA accredited PA program.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• Current, unrestricted Indiana PA license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Current collaborative practice agreement with an Indiana-licensed physician or ability to obtain one before beginning clinical practice.
• Current Indiana CS registration and DEA registration or eligibility to obtain both.
• At least two years of primary care experience.
• Experience in reproductive healthcare highly preferred.
• Experience providing care to LGBTQ+ patients, gender-affirming care, or infectious disease services preferred.
• Bilingual, particularly in Spanish, highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations including health histories and exams.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions within scope of practice.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with the care team.
• Order and interpret appropriate labs and diagnostics.
• Prescribe medications per policies and laws.
• Provide preventive care, risk reduction counseling, and immunizations.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and community services.
• Document in EMR and respond to lab results and messages promptly.
• Educate patients about diagnoses, options, and follow-up needs.
