Nuvance Health, formerly known as Western Connecticut Health, offers an exceptional opportunity for a full‑time, employed Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Connecticut. The position follows a Monday through Friday schedule with mostly outpatient coverage—no evenings, weekends, or on‑call.
Danbury Hospital is a not‑for‑profit community hospital with 371 beds and a Level II trauma center that sees approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. It is affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. The medical group includes more than 900 providers and serves Western Connecticut and eastern New York.
The employed practice is based in the Praxair Cancer Center on the Danbury Hospital campus. It includes seven physicians and four Advanced Practitioners and offers multidisciplinary cancer care, collaborating with surgical and medical subspecialties, radiation oncology, palliative care, diagnostic imaging, cancer genetics, radiation therapy, cancer research and trials, as well as psychological and social support services. The practice sees a broad spectrum of Hematology/Oncology patients in the office and hospital.
