Chsli is seeking a Physician Assistant to join its General Surgery team in a full-time capacity. The role involves collaborating with surgeons to provide comprehensive perioperative care, from pre-operative assessments through post-operative management, while ensuring patient safety and high-quality outcomes.

You will participate in a rotating day and night schedule, support anesthesia teams, and contribute to ongoing patient education and follow-up planning.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a minimum Bachelor's degree.
• Current PA-C or ACNP certification.
• BLS/ACLS/AED training (from a single organization only).

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons in general surgery procedures across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases.
• Conduct patient assessments, medical history reviews, physical exams, and test interpretation.
• Monitor post-operative patients, manage pain and potential complications, and coordinate follow-up care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate surgical notes, progress reports, and treatment plans in medical records.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and participate in drills to enhance preparedness.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our General Surgery team. As a key member of our surgical healthcare professionals, you will work closely with surgeons to provide comprehensive patient care throughout the surgical process. Responsibilities

Surgical Assistance

• Assist surgeons in various general surgery procedures, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases.
• Prepare patients for surgery, ensuring proper consent and pre-operative assessments.
• Handle surgical instruments and equipment, maintaining a sterile environment.

Patient Evaluation and Management

• Conduct patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic test interpretation.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative care, addressing patient needs and concerns.

Post-Operative Care

• Monitor patients in the post-operative period, assessing vital signs and managing pain and complications.
• Provide patient education on post-operative care, medication management, and potential complications.
• Assist in coordinating follow-up care and appointments.

Collaboration and Communication

• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, addressing questions and providing information about surgical procedures and recovery.

Documentation

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including surgical notes, progress reports, and treatment plans.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational documentation standards.

Emergency Response

• Respond promptly to emergency situations in the surgical setting, demonstrating proficiency in life-saving interventions.
• Participate in drills and training to enhance emergency preparedness.

Requirements

• PA - Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program, minimum Bachelor’s degree required

Certification

• American Heart Association BLS/ACLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program
• No online programs from any organization will be accepted.
• DEA registration requiredfor those with discharge responsibilities.

Salary Range

USD $69.55 - USD $93.00 /Hr.
