Job summary

• Experience in a surgical setting.

Responsibilities

• First assist in breast, hernia, cholecystectomy, colorectal, foregut, oncologic surgeries including robotic techniques.
• Perform patient histories, exams, follow ups, post-ops and consults in clinic and hospital.
• Manage rounds, documentation, discharge summaries and orders.
• Order/interprets diagnostics and medications as needed.
• Conduct in-office minor procedures.

Providence Medical Group in Everett is looking for a Surgical physician assistant to join its General Surgery team. Position Details

• First assist includes breast surgery, hernia surgery, cholecystectomy, colorectal surgery, foregut surgery, surgical oncology including minimally invasive/laparoscopic and robotic surgery, and more
• Perform patient histories and physical exams in the clinic and hospital setting: new patients (soft tissue lesions, benign breast, anorectal diseases, pilonidal disease), follow ups, post-ops, consults
• Handle patient rounds, daily documentation including discharge summaries, admission/discharge/inpatient orders, inpatient/outpatient education
• Order and interpret appropriate medications and diagnostic tests such as routine laboratory, ultrasound, CT scans, etc.
• Monitor and manage patient’s course of treatment and make appropriate referrals as needed
• Perform in office procedures that include minor procedures (soft tissue excision, I&D’s), anorectal exams
• Monday to Friday schedule

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation is between $158,601 and $197,240 per year

The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position. In addition, providers may have CME benefits available to them.
