Richmond Gastroenterology Associates, Inc. seeks compassionate Physician Assistants to join our premier GI team in Richmond, VA.

The role spans outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology, with responsibilities including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, hospital rounding, and patient education, in collaboration with our physicians. We offer a Monday–Friday schedule, no on-call, competitive base salary with productivity bonus, CME allowance, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current Virginia licensure or eligibility for Virginia licensure.
• National certification (NCCPA, or equivalent).
• DEA license or ability to obtain.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients in outpatient gastroenterology clinics.
• Conduct hospital rounds and consults.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Educate patients regarding GI and hepatology conditions.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, hospitals, and referring providers.
• Document patient encounters within the EMR.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient care programs.

We are currently expanding our Advanced Practice Provider (APP) team and are seeking clinicians who are passionate about providing exceptional patient care in both outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology settings.

Position Summary

The Physician Assistant provides comprehensive care for patients with gastrointestinal and liver disorders in collaboration with our gastroenterologists. Responsibilities include patient evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, follow-up care, hospital rounding, patient education, and care coordination.

Essential Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients in outpatient gastroenterology clinics

• Conduct hospital rounds and consults

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $115,000 - $150,000+ annually

Compensation will be based on experience, specialty training, certifications, and relevant clinical expertise.
