About the Role

This position will play a valued and respected role in our practice. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Providing comprehensive primary and acute care to our patients.
Triaging of acute and complex patients for attending physicians.
Diagnosing and managing a wide range of medical conditions.
Developing and implementing patient-centered treatment plans, writing prescriptions, and coordinating care.
Performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and prescribing medications.
Executing essential clinical tasks including phlebotomy, administering IVs, point-of-care testing, and providing vaccinations.
Coordinating patient care with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Providing patient education and counseling on preventive care and disease management.
Leading and mentoring medical assistants, phlebotomists, RNs, and other clinical support staff.
Contributing to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
Ensuring the patient experience reflects the high-end nature of our practice.

What We're Looking For

Experience: At least one (1) year of experience working as a PA in any field of medicine is preferred. Exceptional recent graduates from accredited programs are also encouraged to apply.
Education: Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Certification: Valid Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Connecticut, and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Demonstrated ability to practice independently and as a motivated self-starter.
Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Strong clinical skills, including the ability to diagnose and manage a wide range of medical conditions.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems (Athena is preferred).
