Job summary

TRA Medical Imaging is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide high-quality procedural and patient care under radiologist supervision across outpatient and inpatient sites in Pierce County and beyond. This role includes both weekdays and weekends with potential travel between sites.

The position emphasizes fluoroscopic procedures and image-guided biopsies, requiring collaboration with radiologists and technologists to ensure safety, efficiency, and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Experience with radiologic or procedural medicine preferred (e.g., interventional radiology, fluoroscopy, or orthopedics).
• Strong procedural competence and interest in performing needle-based and fluoroscopic studies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Establishes strong, productive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Works with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
• Performs comprehensive physical examinations; diagnoses and treats patients under physician supervision.
• Conducts pre-procedure evaluations, obtains informed consents, and provides post-procedure follow-up care as appropriate.
• Performs and assists with fluoroscopic and needle-based procedures, including arthrograms, GI studies, urologic studies, biopsies and related tasks.
• Participates in scheduling across multiple sites and maintains communication with radiologists and staff.
• Documents procedure-related notes accurately and in compliance with standards.
• Supports clinic growth, development and optimization of the practice.
