We are seeking a skilled Family Practice Physician Assistant for a locum tenens position at a multi-specialty clinic in California. This 120-day assignment begins on 07/14/2025, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The ideal candidate will be proficient in outpatient primary care and chronic care panel management. This opportunity offers a chance to work in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting, managing a panel of patients with chronic conditions. The Physician Assistant will provide 36 hours of patient care per week, with an additional 4 hours dedicated to administrative tasks.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages
• Manage chronic care conditions and oversee patient panels
• Conduct routine check-ups, screenings, and preventive care
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for patient documentation
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a multi-specialty setting
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Participate in care coordination and patient education
• Adhere to all FQHC policies and procedures
• Dedicate 4 hours per week to administrative tasks
• Stay updated on the latest primary care practices and guidelines
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed as a Physician Assistant in California
• Certification in Family Practice required
• Proficiency in Epic EHR system preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a diverse community health setting
• Experience in chronic care management and panel-based care
