Description: This position requires two Advanced Practice Providers in Emergency Medicine. The need arises due to open FTE positions. The expected duration is until the FTE positions are filled. Orientation consists of two shifts of shadowing. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of experience. Emergency privileges may be granted on a case-by-case basis. Standard case log requirements apply. The facility has 24 ER bays, seven vertical pathways, and two intake rooms. The average patient volume is 1 to 1.5 patients per hour, with a mix of mainly level 2 and level 3 cases. The facility is designated as a Level II trauma center. There is a nurse/APP triage for lower acuity cases. Staffing includes three physicians covering nine-hour shifts each day and typically one APP during the day with some overlap. The ED admission rate is approximately 35%.
