University of Maryland Midtown Campus in Baltimore, MD seeks a licensed Physician Assistant to join the Emergency Department team. Under supervision, you will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals with acute and emergent conditions in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements include graduation from an approved PA program, Maryland PA licensure, NCCPA certification, CPR/BLS, and ACLS as required by the department.

Competenze

• Must graduate from a Physician Assistant Training Program approved by the Board of Physician Quality Assurance.
• NCCPA certification is required.
• Maryland State Board licensure as a Physician’s Assistant required.
• CPR and BLS required; ACLS or other relevant certifications as required by the department.
• Ability to provide care appropriate to the age of patients on the assigned unit.

Description

The University of Maryland Midtown Campus is seeking a highly motivated and licensed Physician Assistant to join our Emergency Department team. Under general supervision, and in collaboration with physician colleagues and an interdisciplinary care team, the Physician Assistant will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals presenting with acute and emergent conditions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Graduation from a Physician Assistant Training Program approved by the Board of Physician Quality Assurance is required
• National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) required
• Licensure by Maryland State Board of Physicians as a Physician’s Assistant is required
• CPR required
• BLS required
• ACLS and/or other relevant certifications as required by the department
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
