Job summary

Community Hospital North in Oklahoma City is hiring a PRN Physician Assistant to join the Emergency Department team, delivering direct patient care under established policies and collaborating with the care team.

The role requires Oklahoma PA licensure, prior experience, at least one year in Emergency or ICU preferred, and timely completion of BLS within 30 days and ACLS/PALS within 120 days.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides care to patients in the emergency room according to policy and procedure and care standards.
• Maintains knowledge of medications, equipment, expected patient outcomes, and anticipated complications.
• Coordinates patient care with multidisciplinary team.
• Acts to protect and advance patient’s best interest.
• Satisfactorily demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties outlined in this job description as well as continually demonstrates competency in performing the job duties.

The Emergency Department Physician Assistant provides direct patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures of the Hospital. In collaboration with the patient, the patient’s family and other members of the health care team, the APRN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and coordinates treatment plans. Always works as a team member within the entire facility.Performs other duties as assigned.
