• Documents patient care in records and charts.
• Administers and orders diagnostic tests and interprets results.
• Performs immunizations, injections, suturing, wound care and infection management.
• Develops care plans and counsels patients; records progress.
• Prescribes medications per state guidelines and clinic policies.
• Provides health education on diet, family planning and health maintenance.
• Monitors care during office visits and coordinates with physicians.
