Involves travel to outreach locations and potential evenings/weekends as part of coverage. The PA must hold a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies, a PA license, and PA-C or board eligibility.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies is required.
• Current PA Physician Assistant License is required.
• PA-C or board eligible.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates diagnostic and emergency care in outpatient and inpatient settings, orders and interprets labs, imaging, and procedures, and stabilizes acute situations.
• Prepares and electronically prescribes medications, administers injections, and may perform minor procedures.
• Coordinates complex care with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team, escalating to attending physician when needed.
• Provides specialized care in critical care and inpatient settings with accurate documentation of care plans.
• Educates patients and families on health, prevention, medications, and post-discharge instructions, ensuring continuity of care.
• Maintains and updates medical records with progress notes and care plans, including daily inpatient rounds when applicable.
• Engages in continuing education, quality improvement, and compliance with medical staff standards.
• Assists in surgical, interventional, or fluoroscopic procedures under supervision and helps educate trainees.
• Performs other duties as assigned with privileging and job agreement.
