Job summary

Essen Health Care in New York is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) with interest in outpatient cardiology to join our ambulatory cardiology program. You will work alongside cardiologists to deliver high-quality cardiovascular care in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited PA program, holds a state license, and has NCCPA certification. Experience in outpatient cardiology and EPIC EMR are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Active PA license in the state of practice.
• NCCPA certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cardiovascular assessments and exams.
• Evaluate and manage patients with hypertension, CAD, HF, arrhythmias, and hyperlipidemia.
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests (EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter/event monitors, labs).
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with cardiology physicians.
• Prescribe medications and manage ongoing therapy per clinical guidelines.
• Provide patient education regarding disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
• Document all clinical encounters accurately in the EMR.
• Coordinate care with referring providers, imaging, and ancillary services.
• Support quality initiatives and clinical protocols within the cardiology service line.
