Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a long-term locum tenens in vascular surgery in a hospital-based, inpatient setting. The role offers a consistent weekday schedule with no call responsibilities and support for travel and lodging.

Qualified candidates will have vascular/cardiovascular or critical care surgical experience, active NP/PA licenses, board certification if required, and ACLS/BLS credentials.

Qualifications

• Active license for NP or PA.
• Minimum one year of APP experience.
• Current BLS; ACLS as required and credentialing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments, examinations, and daily rounding.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the attending surgeon.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies.
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative vascular surgery patients.
• Document encounters and plans within the EMR.
• Educate patients and families regarding conditions, procedures, and treatment plans.
• Coordinate care with nursing staff, specialists, and ancillary services.

Clinical Experience

• Cardiovascular, vascular surgery, cardiology, critical care, emergency medicine, or related surgical experience
