Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health, Waxahachie, TX, seeks a Physician Assistant to join its outpatient cardiology team. You will focus on general cardiology in a clinic-based setting with a predictable Monday–Friday schedule.

New graduates are welcome; cardiology experience is strongly preferred. You will collaborate with cardiologists and a multidisciplinary team, perform patient evaluations, and coordinate care across two local locations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• NCCPA certified or eligible.
• Licensed or eligible for PA licensure in Texas.
• Cardiology experience strongly preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Physician Assistant – Cardiology (Outpatient)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Patient Volume: Approximately 16–17 patients per day

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our outpatient cardiology team serving Waxahachie, TX. This role focuses on general cardiology in a clinic-based setting and offers a predictable weekday schedule with minimal weekend responsibility.

New graduates are welcome to apply, though prior cardiology experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient care for general cardiology patients
• Perform patient evaluations, follow-ups, and ongoing disease management
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists and multidisciplinary care teams
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Document care plans and coordinate patient services
• Participate in infrequent weekend rounding rotation

Schedule & Call

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• No call requirements for APPs
• Weekend rounding approximately one weekend every 2–3 months

EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience

Certification/License/Registration:

• Basic Life Support (BLS): Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• Physician Assistants (PA): Must have a PA license through the state of TX.
