Baylor Scott & White Health in Waxahachie, TX, seeks a Physician Assistant to join the outpatient cardiology team. Work a predictable Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM–5:00 PM) with minimal weekend responsibility and approximately 16–17 patient encounters per day.

New graduates are welcome, but cardiology experience is preferred. You will collaborate with cardiologists, perform evaluations, manage follow-ups, order tests, and coordinate patient care in a clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• NCCPA certified or eligible.
• Licensed or eligible for Texas PA licensure.
• Cardiology experience strongly preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsabilités

Physician Assistant – Cardiology (Outpatient)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Patient Volume: Approximately 16–17 patients per day

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our outpatient cardiology team serving Waxahachie, TX. This role focuses on general cardiology in a clinic-based setting and offers a predictable weekday schedule with minimal weekend responsibility.

New graduates are welcome to apply, though prior cardiology experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient care for general cardiology patients
• Perform patient evaluations, follow-ups, and ongoing disease management
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists and multidisciplinary care teams
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Document care plans and coordinate patient services
• Participate in infrequent weekend rounding rotation

Schedule & Call

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• No call requirements for APPs
• Weekend rounding approximately one weekend every 2–3 months

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience

Certification/License/Registration:

• Basic Life Support (BLS): Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• Physician Assistants (PA): Must have a PA license through the state of TX.
