Job summary

Barton Associates, Inc. seeks a Cardiology Physician Assistant for a 60-day assignment with our client in North Carolina, starting July 1, 2026.

You will provide patient care during 7p-7a, perform daily rounds on cardiology patients, and document progress notes and H&Ps. Responsibilities include ordering tests and medications and performing ICU procedures such as arterial and central line placement and cardioversion, in collaboration with attending physicians.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Cardiology is required.
• Experience with Cerner EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Round daily on cardiology patients and floor level care.
• Write daily progress notes, event notes, admission H&Ps, new consult notes, and discharging summaries.
• Order medications, testing, and procedures when indicated.
• Perform ICU procedures such as arterial line placement, central line placement, and cardioversion.
• Conduct new consults with the attending Physician.
