Position: Physician Assistant Adjunct Faculty

The South College Orlando School of Physician Assistant Studies seeks a motivated and experienced educator to join as an adjunct faculty member for the Pharmacotherapeutics three-course series during the 2025-2026 Academic Year. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching pharmacy practice at the graduate level and a commitment to academic excellence.

The selected candidate will collaborate with full-time faculty to support the program’s mission of developing competent and compassionate PAs. Responsibilities include didactic instruction, student evaluation, and course assessment. Our program fosters a collaborative environment with strong administrative support and opportunities for professional development.

This is a fully on-campus role. Remote or hybrid work is not available.

Responsibilities

1. Deliver lectures and laboratory sessions emphasizing clinical relevance.
2. Engage graduate students in active learning and critical thinking.
3. Administer student assessments related to the courses.
4. Develop, deliver, and assess curriculum for assigned courses.
5. Mentor PA students throughout the courses.
6. Act as course director or co-instructor as appropriate to support didactic instruction.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited professional pharmacy degree (Pharm.D.) program.
• Current certification by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS).
• Active, unencumbered, and unrestricted pharmacy license in Florida.
• Minimum of two years of pharmacy practice experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years of pharmacy practice experience.
• Completion of an accredited PGY-1 residency program.
• Experience teaching in graduate medical education.
