Job summary

U.S. Dermatology Partners is seeking a Physician Assistant in Lees Summit, MO for a full-time position.

The PA will provide dermatology care under physician supervision, diagnose and treat skin conditions, and participate in procedures and patient management. The successful candidate will have dermatology experience, strong medical terminology skills, and be proficient in English with solid computer skills.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of medical billing CPT and ICD-10 coding.

Responsibilities

• Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, and compiles patient medical data.

• Performs injections and other procedures as appropriate.
• Assists physicians in surgical procedures and wound care.

• Prescribes medications under physician supervision.

Job Summary

A Physician Assistant is a healthcare professional licensed to practice medicine with physiciansupervision; provides health care services to patients under direction and responsibility of physician(s);diagnoses and treats diseases of human skin by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination.
• Diagnoses patient conditions, examines skin to determine nature of disease, administers or orders diagnostic tests, taking blood samples, smears and skin biopsies from affected areas, and interprets test results for deviations from normal.
• Treats illnesses, abscesses, skin injuries, malignancies, skin infections, and other skin conditions
• Performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, and other procedures as appropriate.
• Assists Physician(s) in surgical procedures, surgically excises cutaneous malignancies, cysts, birthmarks, and other growths, suturing, wound care, and other procedures as appropriate.
• Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.
• Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
• Prescribes and administers medications under the supervision of the physician(s) and in accordance with regulations of the State Medical Board/Regulatory agency for PA’s.
• Adheres to all safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service.
• Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the organization.

Qualifications Experience Requirements

• Minimum two years of work experience as a Dermatology Provider (NOT Medical Assistant experience or clinical rotations)
• Dermatology experience, required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of medical terminology, required.
• Thorough knowledge of medical billing coding, including CPT and ICD-10 coding, required.
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
