Job summary

U.S. Dermatology Partners is seeking a Physician Assistant in Lees Summit, MO for a full-time position.

The PA will provide dermatology care under physician supervision, diagnose and treat skin conditions, and participate in procedures and patient management. The successful candidate will have dermatology experience, strong medical terminology skills, and be proficient in English with solid computer skills.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
• Thorough knowledge of medical billing CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• Detail oriented and professional attitude.
• Ability to follow or provide verbal & written instructions with good grammar and spelling.
• Interpersonal skills to support customer service, teamwork, and colleague needs.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations and HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, and compiles patient medical data.
• Diagnoses conditions, orders diagnostic tests, and interprets results.
• Treats skin conditions including malignancies and injuries.
• Performs injections and other procedures as appropriate.
• Assists physicians in surgical procedures and wound care.
• Develops patient management plans and documents progress notes.
• Counsels patients regarding treatment compliance and health maintenance.
• Prescribes medications under physician supervision.
• Adheres to safety policies and supports high-quality customer service.
• Performs other duties as necessary.
