Joseph Michaels International is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant for the Greater Sacramento area. The role offers a compensation range of $131,000–$170,000 annually, based on experience, with a Monday–Friday schedule (or 4x10 if chosen).

Qualifications

• Active California PA license, NCCPA certification, DEA license, and BLS certification.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience in community health or underserved settings preferred.
• Bilingual abilities in English and one of the listed languages (Russian, Farsi, Pashto, or Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations including history and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging and diagnostics.
• Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with Medical Director collaboration.
• Monitor progress and modify care plans as needed.
• Initiate emergency procedures when clinically indicated.
• Provide preventive care, health education and counseling.
• Maintain accurate documentation per agency and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team for coordinated care.

Physician Assistant

Compensation: $131,000 – $170,000 annually (based on experience)

Job Type: Full-time, Mondays to Fridays 8-5 PM or 4 day (10 hour shift available).

Location: Greater Sacramento area, CA (Multiple locations available)

We are seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to provide comprehensive primary care services within a community health center setting. This role offers the opportunity to serve diverse and underserved populations while working collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including history and physical examinations
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostics
• Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions within scope of practice
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the Medical Director
• Monitor patient progress and modify care plans as appropriate
• Initiate emergency procedures when clinically indicated
• Provide preventive care, health education, and counseling services
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality care

Qualifications

• Active California Physician Assistant license
• NCCPA board certification
• Current DEA certification
• Current BLS certification
• 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred, particularly in community health or underserved populations
• Strong commitment to serving low-income, homeless, or medically underserved communities
• Bilingual skills in English and Russian, Farsi, Pashto/Pushto, or Spanish strongly preferred
