Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with neurological conditions and obtain comprehensive medical histories.
• Perform physical and neurological examinations and document clinical findings accurately.
• Assist physicians with the diagnosis and management of neurological disorders.
• Order and review appropriate diagnostic tests, laboratory studies, and imaging as directed.
• Monitor patients' clinical progress and response to treatment.
• Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with New York State regulations and physician supervision.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
• Perform routine clinical procedures as appropriate to the patient's condition.
• Recognize changes in neurological status and promptly communicate significant findings to the physician.
• Assist with the management of patients experiencing neurological emergencies.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records using EMR systems.
• Coordinate care with neurologists, primary care providers, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining professional standards.
• Participate in follow-up visits and ongoing management of patients with neurological conditions.
