General Duties

• Practice: Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations; interpret lab values and imaging; manage complaints; oversee treatment and referrals; perform diagnostic procedures; develop treatment plans; document findings; monitor effectiveness; refer to specialist services; provide counseling; assist in surgical cases; perform suturing and wound care; aid preoperative evaluation; prepare consent forms.
• Consultation: Assist nursing and office staff with telephone triage and follow-up; collaborate with health professionals; participate in committees and task forces; serve as role model and resource.
• Research: Participate in IRB‑approved protocols and collect data; conduct patient interviews and chart reviews; stay abreast of clinical research; integrate findings into education programs; evaluate program impact.
• Professional Development: Promote staff development; participate in educational programs and current literature; maintain certification and licensure as required.

Education Qualifications

Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program (MS‑PAS).

Licenses and Certifications

• Current PA License in the State of Louisiana from the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners
