Job summary

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a PRN Physician Assistant to support urgent care across multiple clinics in the Gastonia region. This role offers variety, high-volume exposure, and collaboration with diverse teams. New grads are welcome to apply and may get hands-on, fast-paced experience.

Responsibilities span urgent and primary care, minor procedures, suturing, orthopedics, radiology review, EKG, and dermatology. Flexible scheduling and compensation with incentives are provided.

Qualifications

• PA certification required prior to start date.
• Master’s degree or higher required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• EMR and Microsoft Office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telemedicine.
• Minor procedures including toenail removals and foreign body removals.
• Suturing and splinting.
• General orthopedic evaluations and management.
• X-ray review (with Radiologist over-read).
• EKG interpretation.
• General dermatology, eye complaints, and GYN care.
• Treating patients of all ages.
• Emergency management skills in a fast-paced setting.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a high-volume environment, and is flexible working with different teams and clinics. New grads are encouraged to apply — haven’t taken boards yet? That’s okay too!

Responsibilities:

• Urgent care, primary care, occupational medicine, and telemedicine

Schedule:

• Shifts determined approximately two months in advance

MainStreet Clinic Hours:

• Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

KidsStreet Clinic Hours (select locations only):

• Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Hours are subject to change based on company needs, training, float coverage, etc.
